The jacuzzi tub had no power button to turn it on, there were lizards in the room, and the coffee pot wasn’t clean. Bring Lysol to disinfect the linens before sleeping on the sheets, since they don’t always change them as required. As a Choice member, I expected more from the Comfort Inn & Suites.

Just trying to give people a heads-up before they spend their hard-earned money. This is a very basic hotel, and the service sucks. Our room’s jacuzzi tub didn’t work, the TV remote was broken, and there were about four roach baits in the room.

We’ve stayed at this hotel when we couldn’t get a room at our usual place, and it’s not a bad place to stay. But they recently put up a sign banning people with concealed handgun licenses from carrying anywhere on the property. It’s a real bummer, and I probably won’t choose to stay there again unless the sign comes down and permitted people can exercise those freedoms. This isn’t a political view. At the entrance, the sign tells law-abiding citizens with legal Texas permits that they can’t enter while carrying a concealed firearm. The owners are effectively telling good people to leave before they come in. My spouse often brings multiple busloads of children to this exact location each year because it’s near UTSA. I may have to ask her to consider somewhere else because this individually owned and operated hotel doesn’t allow it. Bad guys always obey the law, right?

Amyn made the stay great from beginning to end. We arrived early, and he was happy to get us into room 123, a two queen room. The shower knob was messed up, and water kept coming out of the bathroom faucet while I showered. The toilet worked, but I needed a plunger, which Amyn gladly brought me. The pool was open, and I used the gym in the morning before getting a full breakfast bar with waffles, sausage, eggs, and more. After breakfast, the Inn had a church service from 10 a.m. to noon, with lunch afterward. It was the only Inn with everything you needed. My family and I stayed one night on the 20th, and we really appreciated the hospitality. We’ll be back.
