The grab-and-go breakfast bags worked well for my business mornings, and I slept fine despite the noisy air conditioner. The rooms feel dated, though, and after several cars were broken into following our first night, I worried about leaving my vehicle there. The stay was okay, but I probably wouldn’t come back.

Our room was roomy, well arranged, and surprisingly quiet despite facing the airport. At check-in and during the stay, I had several requests, and Jan at the desk and the bar supervisor (whose name I can’t recall) handled them with real kindness. HGI has been dependable for me, and this was another good example.

Emily turned a rough stay into one I’ll remember for her care and professionalism. She listened without brushing me off, took ownership, fixed my room concerns promptly, and checked that I was comfortable. She also took time to understand my breakfast needs and make sure I could eat without added stress. Her calm, practical approach and genuine kindness made a real difference, and restored my confidence in the hotel and in customer service. The trouble started before that. My truck was broken into, and someone also tried to get into my car during the stay. I was already stressed when I arrived, and the security worries, along with several room problems, made things feel even worse. I also have specific dietary requirements for breakfast, which weren’t being met at first. It felt like everything that could go wrong was going wrong. Emily’s communication, patience, and problem-solving were impressive throughout. She treated me with respect and care, not like just another complaint. I’m grateful for how she handled the situation, and hope Hilton recognizes the work she does. She made all the difference.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you need to leave a car overnight. The security guard and local police told us a group of thieves had been breaking into cars and stealing from them. There were cameras and security patrols once or twice an evening, but that didn’t make me feel comfortable. When we asked staff on Sunday about safety, we were told it was “safe as it can be” being close to Mexico. The rooms were clean and most of the staff were good. The young woman working Saturday morning, Mar 14, was great, though I didn’t get her name. The man on Sunday evening, Mar 8th, was unhelpful and nearly rude.
