Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk

My daughter loved the glass elevators and the wishing pond with its waterfall. The friendly staff even let her ride her toy “ bus” into the lobby. I liked the in-room Kerig machine, the $15 cafe credit for coffee and breakfast, and the windows overlooking the Riverwalk. It's an easy walk to the Alamo, the mall, and popular restaurants. My daughter and I loved our stay, and I'll definitely come back. They were so nice, kid friendly, and accommodating. This is easily my favorite hotel on the Riverwalk; it just feels more comfortable than the others.

I've stayed here twice, and I've loved it both times. It's a beautiful hotel right on the Riverwalk, with plenty of restaurants, bars, and other things to do nearby. The employees are courteous and go out of their way to help.

The hotel and its staff treated us well during our three-night stay, but I would never hand my keys to valets who knowingly drive illegally with my car. As we were leaving on February 7th at about 2 p.m., we saw an accident outside. A young valet was apparently making an illegal turn into oncoming traffic while taking a guest car toward the parking ramp. Traffic was backed up, and a kind man who wasn't staying there backed up to let one valet pull out. Another young valet then brought a resident's car out, and the man backing up hit it. He was at fault, but he was visibly upset while hotel staff mocked and laughed at him. We learned he was a veteran, and I want to thank him for his service. The valet manager, a tall, skinny African American guy, said, “we do it all the time” when explaining that they drive guests' cars that way. Even if the driver causes an accident, it could fall on the car owner's insurance. The hotel itself was good, but I would never trust my vehicle to people who take those risks with it.

Check-in and checkout were both smooth, and the staff were professional, friendly, and ready to help. Our room was spacious, comfortable, very clean, and had a great view. The location is ideal, right by the beautiful Riverwalk and an easy walk from attractions, shops, and restaurants. I had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk. It exceeded what I expected, and I'd gladly return and recommend it to anyone visiting San Antonio.
