Motel 6 San Antonio, TX - Fiesta

I started staying here on March 26. For the first two weeks, I booked through booking but paid at reception. I didn't notice the extra charge until a few days before week three. Motel 6 Six Flags Fiesta said it was because I hadn't emptied the room at checkout and then checked back in. That seems ridiculous. A longer stay without room service would mean less work cleaning for the next guest. I paid for the third week directly through booking to avoid the extra amount Motel 6 was adding to the booking price. At 10 a.m. they told me to pay at the desk. I explained I'd paid through booking.com. At 10:15, the desk clerk knocked and said they were kicking me out. I repeated that I'd already paid, and she said it was because I had too many things in the room. She also demanded permission to photograph it. They called my belongings “excessive luggage,” but the room was listed as QUADRUPLE because it had two double beds, which could mean four people's luggage. I included a picture of my things on the second bed. While loading my car, I also asked some people checking out if I could photograph their vehicle and its luggage. Compared with how full their vehicle was, mine wasn't excessive. It looks to me like Motel 6 Six Flags Fiesta is charging customers extra at the desk and not reporting it so they can avoid giving booking.com its share.

For one person needing a cheap room at the last minute, this was decent and really close to Fiesta Texas. The bed was old but okay, and parking was free with plenty of spaces. No breakfast, though they did offer coffee.

The room could use a better cleaning, and the AC and heat only let you choose certain temperatures. They don't run consistently either. For the price, it was suitable. The front desk was friendly, and the lighting made it easy to see everything around you. Shopping centers and Fiesta Texas are close by.

Room 212 was fine for a one night stay at a reasonable price, and it took less than 10 minutes to drive to six flags. I was happy enough with the experience, though a bit more comfort would've been nice. The floors felt sticky. There wasn't a refrigerator, and I can't remember whether there was a microwave. Breakfast wasn't included. The AC compressor seemed to be failing: sometimes it blew cold air for only a few minutes, and sometimes turning it off and back on helped.
