It’s close to the main attractions, but far enough from downtown that you avoid the noise. I was pleasantly impressed.

Most places were either full or charging a fortune, but this one had a room at a reasonable rate. I expected the bare minimum. The WiFi was fast enough for remote work the next morning, and the fridge kept my leftovers fresh.

My husband paid $100 in cash for incidentals because he didn’t have his debit card. The man working check-in that evening, who spoke Spanish, put the money in an envelope and said it would be returned at checkout the next morning. Janet handed him a $100 bill from the envelope the next day. He didn’t realize it was counterfeit until later, when he tried to deposit it at the bank. We returned to the motel, with me on the phone as a witness, but Janet refused to contact the manager or give him a phone number. He told her there were two cameras in the lobby that could be seen clearly and could be used with a police report. We filed a police report against Janet and the hotel, alleging the counterfeit cash had been switched between check-in and checkout. We intend to pursue prosecution. If this happened to him, it may be happening to others. They need to be held accountable. Do not go to this motel. It’s a scam.
