Best Western Garden Inn & Suites

I’d stayed here now and then before, but my last visit was a couple of weeks ago. Things seemed fine until I saw a condom wrapper on the nightstand and a used condom on the floor. There was also a strange dark spot on the bedspread. I told the manager I wouldn’t stay there again, ever. Their housekeeping and room inspections clearly have problems. I was in town for a few days and found a cheaper, much cleaner place in Harlingen for the rest of my stay.

We just needed somewhere to rest before getting back on the road by a certain time, so I didn’t have time to complain in person. The rooms were filthy, there was no running water, and there was nowhere to park. I do not recommend staying here.

The refrigerator in our room didn’t work, but they quickly brought in a replacement that did. Housekeeping was kind and very efficient, and the service was excellent. We stayed a week in a large room, and it was a lovely place to stay.

There weren’t any breakfast options for the kids, which was disappointing. We also found stained sheets, and a leftover rotisserie chicken from the previous guest was sitting in the microwave and starting to smell. This hotel was disappointing, to say the least.
