The room was clean and the last minute price was good, but the service was terrible. I waited in the lobby for 40 minutes while staff were gone, and had to pay extra for early check-in after arriving at 1, having taken another shuttle and a Lyft. Flight crews should know the shuttle doesn't run from 11 to 3. The mattress was clean; the bathroom and shower were dated but worked. The morning shuttle combines three hotels and was completely full. The busy road, gas station, and car wash nearby made it loud, though plane noise wasn't too bad since it's outside the departure corridor. For another $20, early check-in at a hotel with a more dependable shuttle that doesn't charge for it might make more sense.

This place has a cool shabby chic feel, though it's no luxury hotel. My room had a great king bed and looked out at the hills, and the airport shuttle was excellent. There are all kinds of international food within walking distance, plus a biker bar and a cafe with amazing empanadas. It worked perfectly for an unexpected night after my flight was cancelled.

The room was big and freshly renovated, with a roomy bathroom and really comfortable bedding. After a long flight, it had everything we needed, and there are several restaurants just around the corner. We picked the hotel for its proximity to the airport and shuttle, and were pleasantly surprised. The shuttle was on time for pickup and got us back to the airport at 4 a.m. the next day. The staff were warm and did what they could to make us comfortable. We'll be back!

For what I paid, this was an amazing value, and I don't get the low rating. The staff were nice and even held my trolley bag ahead of time. My room was clean, with working heat and Wi-Fi. The airport shuttle the next morning was right on time and went smoothly. I'd stay here again without hesitation if I visit SF.
