For a stay around San Clemente or Calafia Beach, this worked well whether you're visiting, surfing, or just driving through on the highway. It's an older property, but the room was clean and comfortable, and the heater and AC both worked well. There was a fridge and microwave in the unit. Parking and registration are on the ground floor, with courtyard-style rooms on floors two and three. There were a decent number of spaces at the property, more in the alley behind it, and street parking didn't look too hard if those filled up. The property is entirely non-smoking. I spoke with three different people during my stay, and everyone was friendly and pleasant. I'd suggest calling the hotel directly when booking to get the best price.

We had a nice little ocean view, and the private parking under the hotel was a big plus. My cousin and I stayed two nights. The place is small and quaint, and we felt safe. The room, tub, and bathroom were immaculately clean, the beds were comfortable, and we slept well. There were plenty of towels, and the elevator worked wonderfully. Reception was very kind and friendly, as were the housekeeping staff. Great value for the money, and I'd highly recommend it.

I could hear people talking next door, and the room itself felt like a dungeon. The only window looked onto an interior walkway, with no view outside. There was a notice in the tub saying it was for showers only, not baths, and warning of a $250 fine for flooding. I tried to check out in the morning, but they wouldn't refund my second night. Terrible place!
