San Clemente Cove

We still can't get over what a wonderful time we've had at San Clemente Cove. The view hit me so hard when we arrived that I was literally in tears. The beach would've been enough on its own, but there's lots to do nearby too. On site, they have beach chairs and towels, a barbecue grill, jacuzzi, sauna, and board games. The games came in handy on the one rainy day. The staff have been so kind and helpful, and the rooms are beautiful and feel well cared for. We're lucky to be here, and happy we've still got a few days to enjoy it all. This place is special. 10/10.

We've stayed here many times over the years, and the staff and service are great. Our room didn't have a good ocean view, so the staff showed us three available rooms and we chose one with a better view. We also needed a meat thermometer, which isn't usually supplied, and they found one for us. Across the street on the pier, the Restaurant and Oyster Bar have the best food and Sunset specials. The place just below the resort has the best pizza!

The apartment was large and spacious, and the staff were friendly. I loved the location and ocean views. The only downside was that Wi-Fi worked in the living room but not the bedroom, though the connection was strong enough for Zoom meetings.

I booked on the company website and got a confirmation, then completed the requested pre-registration details from an email three days before check-in. At 8 AM on arrival day, I even received a "Sea you soon" confirmation. But when I got to the resort, they said they didn't have my room. They offered a different resort or a refund without penalty, as if that was generous. Why should I face a penalty when they didn't have the room I'd purchased weeks earlier? There was no apology, just offensive hold-harmless wording. I don't trust this company and won't try to book at a Grand Pacific Resort again.
