The price was great, and the room was clean, comfortable, and suited my needs perfectly. It’s centrally located in San Clementine, right off Interstate 5. I came to San Clemente for a wedding and picked West Coast Surf and Stay because of the good reviews. Ann Marie and her son greeted me when I arrived, and she was super friendly. Dave, her husband and the owner, was just as friendly, laid back, and generous. He knew all sorts of good places to eat, including local spots instead of touristy ones. I loved the Mexican food. We chatted about places and food while petting their great dog, Harvey. It felt more like staying with a cool cousin than being at a hotel. I’d 100% recommend it, and hope I can come back.

After my third stay, I still can’t quite explain why this place feels so right. The value goes well beyond having a comfortable room. Dave and AnnMarie have made a really welcoming, cool spot in San Clemente. There are lots of places to stay around here, but I doubt many are as special. Give Harvey some pets for me, and say hi to Henry if you get the chance.

A huge thanks to David for being so kind and sorting out a last-minute change in our plans. He accommodated us flawlessly and really saved the trip. We loved our stay at the West Coast Surf Inn. The room and property were clean and comfortable, and the beach was nearby. We could also walk to several excellent places to eat. Between the location, room, and hospitality, it exceeded our expectations, especially for the price. We’ll 100% be back!

We borrowed surfboards from the owner, which we’d never had the chance to do before, and it made the stay even better. He also took time to share some of his favorite local places and was genuinely friendly and welcoming. We stayed for three nights at West Coast Surf and Stay and were impressed by the whole experience. The beach style makes the place feel relaxing as soon as you come in. It’s got a laid-back feel and the kind of hospitality that makes you want to return. Highly recommend.

We’ve stayed twice with our family, and both visits were wonderful. Dave and his family make the stay feel special and are so accommodating. The rooms are clean and quiet, and worked really well for us and our toddler. It’s easy to walk to food and parks, and just a quick drive to the beach. There’s also a lovely patio for relaxing in the evening. Thanks for another great stay!
