A great spot for dogs, with a big courtyard and lots of gear to borrow, from bikes and wagons to surfboards, boogie boards, and chairs. It's well located, not far from town, and easy to get to the beach. The place was clean, and I'd absolutely stay again.

We came back for our second stay and love this place. The bungalows are well equipped and work perfectly for our family. The owners and site manager are responsive and helpful. It's in a quiet neighborhood, just a short walk to Ocean Beach main town centre, and has easy freeway access into San Diego and beyond. We'd highly recommend it.

Our Jack Russell loves it here too, especially the grassy courtyard where he can play with his cousins and the other dogs. We love the clean, comfortable cottages and the friendly, helpful people who manage the place. Ocean Beach is lovely, and the nearby cliff views make for great dog walks. We've stayed a couple of times and are heading back. Highly recommend it if you have dogs.

We found Blue Heron Cottages while searching for somewhere near the beach, and were so glad we did. We brought our two dogs, one of them traveling for the first time, and it was a quiet, safe, comfortable stay for all of us. The staff are incredibly friendly and very welcoming to dogs. The grounds are beautifully kept, with room for the pups to run or just sunbathe. Wish we'd found it sooner. We'll definitely be back!

We've stayed at Blue Heron a couple of times, and it's been great each time. The on-site caretakers are kind and helpful, and you can borrow bikes and other fun beach gear. Our dogs love traveling with us and having free run of the courtyard. It's a fun place in a great location, just minutes from lots of things.
