Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Mission Valley/Hotel Circle

The hotel and staff were amazing for my birthday weekend, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. But I’ve been trying to reach the general manager about whether an incident involving my car happened there. I’ve left three voicemail messages and haven’t heard back. When I asked for the corporate number, I was told there wasn’t one. It’s been about two weeks now, and still nobody has responded.

This Courtyard is handy for food and entertainment, with a big mall right next door. Fashion Valley mall is also nearby, 10/10, and downtown, Little Italy, and other places aren’t far. Hotel Circle is a great area to stay in San Diego. It can be pricey, but you get the Marriott standards you’re paying for: safety, kind staff, cleanliness, fresh sheets, and comfy pillows. The check-in staff were quick to help when we lost our room keys. I highly recommend it.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and Chloe and Rick made a great first impression at check-in. They were cheerful, friendly, and helpful, which got our two-day stay off to a good start. Everything went great!

The location and price were very good, and I felt safe in the neighborhood, though attractions weren’t close enough to walk to. The hotel room was clean and adequate, just not as nice as other Marriotts we’ve stayed at. Cafe staff and front desk service were both nice. There’s no complimentary breakfast or parking, and no in-room safe. Some days the towels were short. The bathroom privacy lock was on the wrong side of the door, the sink drain was missing its cover, and the parking lot was in poor condition. Decent hotel, all in all.
