Hotel La Jolla, Curio Collection by Hilton

There’s more of a resort atmosphere here, along with a high-end restaurant, so it seems especially suited to a vacation or date night. For better food and a livelier feel, I’d suggest Carte, another Curio property in San Diego. The location is good, but the ocean is about a 10-minute walk away. Even from the higher floors, the ocean view is partial and fairly distant, with trees blocking some of it. If you want to feel surrounded by the water through the window, I’d recommend the Hilton Bayfront instead, since it’s much closer to the ocean.

Our meals at the on-site restaurant were all delicious. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner there, and eating while taking in the panoramic ocean views was a highlight of the trip. The hotel is in a great spot in La Jolla. The place is small and intimate, with a charming boutique feel. It was beautifully maintained, and our room was spotless and comfortable. Every staff member we met was warm and welcoming, and went out of their way to make our stay good. We had an incredible time from start to finish and highly recommend it. We’ll definitely be back.

The restaurant staff turned the stay into something special. From the first night, getting to know them made a difference. Manager EJ made incredible drinks and shared local recommendations that were all amazing, while our server Arturo made every meal memorable. After a full day of touring, coming back to the restaurant became a highlight. We had a spotless, comfortable ocean view room with a lovely breeze. The location was perfect, near La Jolla Village but far enough from traffic, and the surroundings were clean. Coffee shops, stores, and restaurants were easy to reach. 10/10, we’d visit again.

Our room was spacious and comfortable, with fantastic ocean views. The staff were polite, welcoming, and happy to accommodate requests from the moment we arrived. The hotel is convenient for getting to downtown La Jolla and the highway. We’d gladly return.
