Coming back here brought back wonderful memories from the family vacations I took as a child in the 70s and 80s. Not much has changed, and that was part of the fun. It isn’t necessarily modern, but it’s extremely clean and well kept. It was quiet and close to the convention I was attending. If you want an inexpensive place and a trip back in time, this is it. Don’t miss the five-star waffles!

We’ve stayed at this little spot quite a few times. The rooms are practical and furnished well, and the heated pool is great even when it’s chilly or late. It’s easy to reach, close to all the freeways around Hotel Circle, and parking has never been a problem. We’ve also never had safety concerns or anyone bother our vehicles. The Waffle Spot is great too.

The room was surprisingly quiet at night despite being next to a freeway, and I got a good night’s sleep. I also appreciated the extra warm blanket. It’s spacious, with plenty of storage for clothes, and the mini fridge even has a small freezer. Kings Inn feels like a steal for the experience, with friendly staff, two on-site restaurants, and a pool. I’d really recommend staying here when visiting San Diego. We picked this for our last night because the price was reasonable and it was close to the airport. The room was comfortable and nice, and I managed a few hours of sleep before our very early airport trip. We also enjoyed the pool for a bit. A big section is nine feet deep, so doing cannonballs was fun, and the hot tub was comfortable too. It gave us the rest we wanted before a long day traveling through airports.

The Waffle Spot had great, reasonably priced food, and there was parking available any time of day. The rooms were very clean, the staff was great and accommodating, and the environment felt peaceful. We couldn’t hear guests in the next room. This place is amazing, and I’ll keep it as our go-to for the next trip.
