Stay Classy Hostel

Parking was the one real downside, it was an absolute nightmare. Otherwise, Stay Classy Hostel made a great first hostel stay for me. The dorm setup felt modern and comfortable, and the rooms, bathrooms, and showers were spotless. It was warm and friendly, so relaxing there was easy. I'd recommend it, just taking off a star for the parking.

I travel all over and usually stay with Marriott or Hilton, but a last-minute situation brought me here, and I came away impressed. It feels much closer to a shared hotel room than what I think of as a hostel, even approaching a three-star hotel. The private beds were comfortable, the storage and amenities were good, and everything was super clean. I felt safe and welcome.

Parking is a headache, and you may have to park far away and walk. The bigger problem for me was the rule about talking in the room at night. Even a quiet conversation with your spouse while you're lying down can get you in trouble, and phone calls aren't allowed in the room after 11 pm. I understand staff speaking up if someone is loud or disruptive, but I expect at least a little noise in a shared hostel room. If quiet conversation bothers you, I think a private hotel room makes more sense. The staff themselves were good, honestly the only good part of the place. But if you don't want to be treated like a 10-year-old and told you can't talk after bedtime, stay away.

I stayed here on January 22, 2024, and left that same day. A malfunction in the fire sprinkler system soaked my bed and all my clothes. Management didn't show interest in fixing anything or offer any help, and they were extremely rude. Their behavior felt discriminatory and racist to me. There was also often marijuana being used right outside the entrance, and the smell got into the rooms. It was very unpleasant. I don't recommend this place.
