The house was filthy and felt dangerous. The hot tub smelled, the floor was so dirty I threw my socks away afterward, and there was black mold. The kitchen smelled like a dead cat. Most concerning, the open-flame heating unit, which I believe is illegal in California, made a loud banging sound all night during record low temperatures. We tried repeatedly to resolve things with Air, but got deflection and denial. All we wanted was for them to publish our review. The owner had it removed from AirBnb, and the platform refused to restore it. I took the issue to senior leadership at the Air and got brushed off again. We’ve rented over $100,000 in properties through Air over the past 10 years. We had bad experiences three times out of 30, and none of those reviews were published. During Christmas week it was hard to find somewhere else to stay. Very disappointing.

We had a minor issue, but the host fixed it almost right away and communication was great. The house had everything we needed, including two kitchens that worked really well for cooking big meals for my family. The beds were comfortable, and the hot tub was a great way to unwind after a beach day. Guests could also use bikes, surfboards, and boogie boards. One of our best vacation rentals in the Mission Beach area over the years. We’d absolutely stay again.

There were 14 of us, and everyone slept comfortably. The place was huge, super clean, and stocked with everything we needed. We loved the outdoor area, especially the comfy furniture and fire pit, and the kids had a great time in the hot tub. Great host, and we can’t wait to come back.

We arrived a bit early and found the cleaners still scrubbing, which was reassuring because the place was spotless. It had all the amenities, and the hot tub was hot and comfortable. The owner was polite and quick to respond. We had no problems during our stay and can’t wait to come back. This place is awesome!
