Edgewater

The entertainment was a big hit at my grad party. The indoor pool table was in constant use, while the giant chess set and ping pong table outside drew a crowd. The kitchen made catering setup stress free, with a full fridge and lots of counter space. Our group of about 35 to 40 fit comfortably in the lounge without feeling crowded, and the indoor and outdoor seating let everyone move around and settle wherever they liked. Parking was easier than expected, with nearby street spaces and access to a garage with dedicated spots for guests. Huge thanks to Daniel, the property manager, and Jericson, the maintenance manager, for helping make it happen. Honestly, couldn't have asked for a better venue.

There isn't a leasing office at 355 berry st. To lease and get the garage transponder, you have to walk over to 185 Channel st, leaving the building without anyone there to help with your needs. I rented here for a month and the leasing team wasn't around when I arrived. The key setup is crazy, you need 21 keys to get through three doors. Update 1:

Everything I need is within walking distance in a very safe neighborhood, and the area gets a lot more sunny days than the rest of SF. As a dog owner, the location is especially great, and I can make good use of the outdoor grills. The pricing is super competitive, management is responsive, and the amenities are a big plus. Daniel has been an absolute gem whenever I've asked for help. You won't find staff like this anywhere else!

I’ve been here nearly four years, and most of my experience has been good. What’s bothering me now is the west-side elevator. It had been patched along for months and has finally stopped working. There’s just an out-of-order notice, with no word on when it’ll be fixed. Everyone has to rely on the central elevator, so waits can stretch to 5-10 minutes. It’s been over two weeks, and residents deserve an update, especially given what we pay. About the complaints I’ve seen in other reviews: this is San Francisco, so unhoused people are around the city. I’ve seen them outside Edgewater, but never inside, and there aren’t encampments nearby. Package theft is frustrating, but Edgewater has plenty of Luxor lockers in the garage and signs telling couriers not to leave deliveries on the lobby counter. Couriers still do it. Maintenance and janitorial staff try to move those packages into lockers when they notice them, though they can’t always catch them. There really isn’t staff on site, and getting hold of someone can be hard. There’s a text service and a phone number, but the phone often goes unanswered. I wish someone were here to help with problems. Still, I like the location, feel safe, and have no plans to leave Edgewater soon. I’ll update this after I move.
