Hilton Los Angeles/San Gabriel

The location’s convenient, beside a Chinese compound with lots of restaurants and across from 99 ranch market. The room was nice, though a little dark, and the pool is fairly big. They missed cleaning the room one day, but I didn’t mind. Service could be better. Joseph on the night shift was 🔥 at his job, he’s good. Couples might have too much fun here.

Getting into LA took ages from here, even though the hotel is near the i10. Traffic was hell: an hour to Universal City in the morning and an hour and a half to LAX in the afternoon, so keep that in mind. San Gabliel has a Chinese environment, lots of Chinese restaurants nearby, and two starbucks within walking distance. The hotel is quiet, with a nice pool, hot tub, and plenty of parking on two underground floors. We spent four nights here while visiting LA. The staff were really nice and tried to help find solutions. Vincent at the front desk was awesome, thank you! Our room was great, and the beds were the most comfortable we found on our month-long California tour. The carpet in the room and hallway didn’t seem very clean, though. We didn’t buy breakfast. I think it’s about $25 per person, if I remember right. Guest coffee is free until 10:30 AM, but it isn’t very good.

I was here on a business trip this summer, and the hotel was in a decent, quiet part of San Gabriel. My room was comfortable and quiet, too. There were lots of restaurants close by, plus a little convenience shop and a restaurant in the hotel. The fitness center was one of the better ones I’ve used while traveling for work, with plenty of good options in a comfortable part of the hotel.

Arthur went above and beyond and upgraded me to a suite for free. It was spacious and nice, and I enjoyed the small tub. Finding parking was difficult. The lots outside and inside were somehow full, maybe because of a big event, but luckily I found street parking. My only complaint is the $14 yogurt parfait. That felt overpriced for the portion. I’ll come again.
