SAMUEL B.

2/10

Steven at the front desk was friendly and tried as hard as he could to help us, but the stay was deeply disappointing. We asked for an upper-floor ADA room. The elevator shook violently, like a bad earthquake, and at 64 I found it the scariest ride I’ve ever had. My wife and I were too uncomfortable to use it again, so we didn’t even enter the original room. We were moved to a tiny ground-floor ADA room instead. Its bathroom was advertised with a roll-in shower, but actually had an old, narrow tub with ADA bars on the walls. I nearly fell using it. The shower head was loose, and the faucet seemed barely attached to the wall. The towels were child-sized and didn’t cover me, while the advertised special soaps and washes had such strong fragrance that we couldn’t use them. The fan and bright overhead light shared one switch, with no way to use just one. A second ceiling light had a timer, though its switch looked ordinary, so I ended up on the toilet in the dark. The whole room felt dingy, dirty, and stuck in the 70s. The chair seat looked like it had cigarette burns, though closer inspection showed wear and tear. The ancient alarm clock even had an iPod dock. The refrigerator cabinet door had a broken hinge and was falling off, and the AC worked only off and on, making it almost useless. The lobby is pretty, but things went downhill after we walked in. I thought the Hyatt Hotels association meant we’d found a nice hotel. I was fooled. What a dump. I will NOT be back.

The room and beds were clean, with plenty of storage for clothes and suitcases, plus a dresser and a desk with a comfortable chair. The beds were comfortable and the pillows fluffy, and there was a handy outlet between them. The bathroom was clean, with nice towels and wonderful toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and bar soap. I even bought the body wash because I liked it so much. There’s also an outdoor pool. The whole building felt clean inside, with absolutely no scent in the room at all, which was a plus. Staff were warm and welcoming, and it was a safe, relaxing, pleasant one-night stay. The hotel felt high-end.

The staff were friendly, but this room felt old. You could hear the neighbors through the thin walls and ceiling, and even stepping on the floor made the furniture shake. The bathroom feels stuck in the 90s, with a shower curtain.

The staff were really friendly, and the rooms were clean, but the pictures don’t match the property. The room was dated, dark, stuffy, and poorly soundproofed. We slept badly because the air didn’t circulate well and the AC seemed inconsistent. The price was reasonable. If you’ve stayed at another Hyatt, know this isn’t the same standard.
