Aloft by Marriott San Jose Cupertino

The room was much smaller than I expected and smelled awful. We arrived late at night, and they used housekeeping being gone as an excuse not to replace the stinky bedding. The AC made a super loud, cranky noise all night and kept me awake. Stay away from this hotel. It’s a shame for the Marriott name.

The street-facing rooms are beyond noisy, louder than normal street traffic. I’ve never stayed somewhere so loud, so try to get a room facing the pool. The rooms themselves are nice, and the hotel is clean. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

We had an amazing stay November 14-16! The front desk clerk working during the day on Saturday November 15 and Sunday November 16 gave us directions to San Francisco. Maria, I think that was her name, you rock! We appreciate you, and they’re so lucky to have you!

We got good service and enjoyed the amenities, but both rooms we stayed in need some serious updating. Noise was a big problem. I could hear people in the hallway all night, even the neighbor coughing, and the ice machine was right outside our room with people using it constantly. The couch bed was probably the worst part: cheap, uncomfortable material, and it squeaked whenever you turned over. The pool was a comfortable room temperature and the spa was great. Free breakfast was okay, and I appreciated that it was included, though today was the last day they offered it. I forgot to mention, parking is free. The hotel is nice and modern, with excellent customer service.
