At checkout around 4 a.m., because the restroom was inaccessible, I was told I’d get a refund. It never came. The manager said it should have been handled when I first raised the concerns, and that any compensation now had to be decided by someone higher up. I’m still waiting on that review. The stay was awful from the start. On the first day, the hallway and room smelled foul, with damp, stuffy air that seemed thick with mold. By day two there were roaches and some unknown silver crawling bug. On the third day, something flying charged at me as I started opening the bathroom door. I called the front desk for help, but the person was asleep. After I explained everything, he said he’d come up, then never showed. The hotel was in disrepair, and no service was done during my stay. I had no clean towels, the trash was left, and nothing was cleaned. There were tears, mold, and filth throughout. The health department may need to get involved.

The property was clean, even the breakfast bar. Ekindra, Vicki, the other front desk employee with glasses, and the housekeeper were all professional and went above and beyond in ways I hadn’t expected.

I ended up leaving after just two days of the week I’d booked because the roaches kept getting worse. I woke up to more every day. When I reported them, the front desk offered to clean the room or bring roach spray, but neither ever happened. I had to take a day off work to wash all my clothes and make sure the bugs didn’t come home with me, then find another hotel at the last minute. They refunded only half of the week. When I asked about it, they said the rate was higher because I hadn’t stayed the 30 days I originally planned. The only reason I cut the trip short was the roach problem. Based on other reviews, it’s been going on for at least eight months, so do your research before staying here.

The room they gave me around 8 on the night I checked in was in really bad shape. No internet, the TV didn’t work, and the desk lamps were broken. I asked the manager for a refund, but never heard back. Everything about this hotel was bad. Don’t book here or give them more business. They suck!

A nice place with friendly staff, and getting around San Jose wasn’t too difficult. Top Golf and Levi’s stadium are right next door. The room has a mid-size fridge and a two-burner stove, so I’d recommend it for a short or longer stay.
