Hyatt Place San Jose Airport

The room itself was fine, and breakfast was okay, though the bacon was the thinnest sliced I've ever seen. Still, there were a couple of issues that put me off staying again. There was a questionable stain on the bed sheets, which made me wonder whether they were washed or what process they use. The sink also took a good two minutes to drain after I brushed my teeth. I don't plan to come back.

Cecilia at the front desk made our stay at the Hyatt Place San Jose especially good. She was professional, friendly, and went out of her way to make sure we felt welcome and had what we needed. She really was a gem, and I hope management recognizes the great first and lasting impression she gave us. We had a fantastic stay.

I had to keep worrying about the safety of my belongings, and I would strongly advise airport travelers to avoid this hotel. It's the worst place I've stayed, with really poor service. Housekeeping didn't do the basics I expected, like changing towels, cleaning the room, or replenishing tissues. The team also threw my clothes on the floor. On the same day, one housekeeper moved the “asking for tip” card to the center of the desk. I couldn't help thinking it was meant as a hint for a tip. The day before I checked out, my hat went missing from the room. I have no direct evidence, but I think there's a high probability the housekeeper took it. The front desk didn't take my complaints seriously. One staff member agreed to reimburse my parking to make up for my clothes being thrown on the floor, but I never got the money back. Another said she would investigate the missing hat, give me an update, and buy me a replacement. I heard nothing. They're really good at stalling tactics.

I didn't stay here, just used the lobby bathrooms while my car was charging. The men's restroom lights went off after about five minutes, so I sat in the dark for a while. They should extend the automatic shutoff to either 10 minutes or 5 hours.
