Super 8 by Wyndham San Jose Airport

The grounds were filthy, the TV didn’t work, and the promised amenities weren’t there. On a Wednesday, the neighbor blasted music until 5 AM, and management did nothing. The light bulbs were weird, and the furniture was ugly and mismatched. There was a microwave and fridge, but I didn’t want to bring anything back to this area.

Cockroaches near the microwave were the last straw, so we packed up and left after two nights of a four-day booking. The place also had people coming and going late at night, drinking and leaving trash around our car. We felt much better after moving next door to the Hampton Inn, where we could shower and wash our clothes. The first night, we arrived very late and were put in a handicap room because staff said it was the only one available. They moved us to another room afterward. It wasn't great, but we were tired and made do. The next day we came back hoping for a hot shower, only to find there was no hot water. Some lights didn't work, and there was no smoke alarm. The person at the office said nothing could be done until morning and offered to move us then, but that didn't happen, despite later claiming they'd tried. They initially refunded only the final two nights. I complained about the second night too, and after I said I'd dispute all the charges with the bank, they agreed to refund a third night. This place was disgusting and not worth a penny.

The room smelled awful, the shower was filthy, and the pillows were stained. Roaches were crawling on the walls. The TV had no remote, and neither the TV nor the microwave worked. Really disgusting.

I expected a place to sleep and recover after a long trip, but I was left shocked and frustrated. With the room in such horrible shape and cockroaches everywhere, I couldn't rest or feel safe. I paid for something at least livable, and what I got felt like a nightmare. Honestly, the roadside would have been more comfortable.
