San Luis Inn And Suites

We stayed at the San Luis Inn and Suites, and the experience was awful. The woman at the front desk tried to charge us an extra $100 that nobody had told us about. We refused to pay a fee for arriving at 1 a.m., since we’d called ahead and said we’d be coming then. The next day, she tried to hold our belongings and lock us out of the room. I’ve never been treated so rudely at a hotel. It felt unfair and honestly a little scary. We were just trying to enjoy our trip and ended up dealing with this mess. Save yourself the stress and stay somewhere else. This place isn’t worth it.

Just filthy. The walls had bare, unpainted patches and what looked like food splashed on them, though I can only hope that’s what it was. There were fingerprints and stains all over the headboard, and plastic was still peeling off the box spring. Even the toilet seat was too small for the toilet. Nasty place.

The room was fine for sleeping and showering, but not somewhere I wanted to spend time relaxing. The location worked for our trip to take our kid to stay in school. The attendant was AWESOME, really knowledgeable and helpful. I was glad I dealt with that employee instead of the owner. If I’d had to deal with the owner, I definitely would have gone to another hotel.

The people at the front office were nice, though the lobby was closed. It’s a quaint place, and the beds were comfortable. The queen bed was actually queen size, unlike the full-size beds some places call queens. The pool wasn’t heated. This is more of a place to sleep than hang out, and it seems best for guests on a budget who aren’t too picky. Not a bad stay.
