This was our first time here, and I’d hoped to like the hotel, but I don’t think I’ll come back. I was grossed out to find what looked like bodily fluid on the linens and had to ask staff to replace them. The housekeeping staff were professional and nice. They first planned to change only the sheets, but after seeing the dirty duvet, they quickly remade both beds. I also asked for a microwave in the room so I could reheat food for my little ones, but they couldn’t provide one.

The property has been renovated, but it still looks dated, and there are better hotels nearby. I wouldn’t recommend this Marriott. Elite members often can’t use the club lounge to get a drink during the day because it’s locked between breakfast and dinner. At meals, you have to sign in, and a woman working there watches what and how much you take, which makes it uncomfortable. Staff were unprofessional elsewhere too. I was hung up on, and after calling repeatedly about a billing problem, I got no call back or follow-up for over a month.

The rooms were good and well kept, but the stay felt average. Service was slow: I had to chase the express service for water bottles. Breakfast was much the same each day. On weekends, when breakfast wasn’t served in the concierge lounge, nobody told me I could use a voucher for complimentary breakfast at the restaurant, even though my booking included breakfast. At check-in, they didn’t ask if I was a Bonvoy member. I had to say I was Platinum before they extended the member privileges. They also promised me a suite upgrade the day after check-in, but never followed up. I’ve stayed in Marriot hotels in India, and this was one of my more average experiences. Team, you need to gear up!

The gates weren’t working properly, and calling for help led to a number that went nowhere. Better signs for the parking lot would help. Still, I’d recommend staying here again. The room was clean and had nice amenities, thick towels, good soap and a big screen TV. I slept until 10:30 because it was so comfortable. Staff were accommodating when checking me in and offered drinking water.

I love this place. The beautiful grounds and helpful, friendly, courteous staff make it feel like home, with Marriott level luxury. I’ll stay here whenever I’m in the area, which should be often as I build a new business and network. Thanks to everyone, from housekeeping and the front desk to the red stack cafe and market, the bar, and the delicious food from craft and code.
