There’s a proper table and two chairs, which made it possible for me to get some work done. The room also had a microwave, fridge, working hair dryer, iron, and a better security latch on the door. For the area, this is the cheapest hotel I found, and it was super clean. I think breakfast is included too. For a budget hotel, I’d give it five stars.

The floors had flooded recently and were damaged, but since we arrived late at night we tried to look past that. Then, within minutes, we spotted bugs and cockroaches. We left right away. Thankfully, we’d booked through a third party, which made sure we got a refund. Zero stars.

Everything else worked, and the room was well equipped. But the heater was really dirty, so I had to take it apart and clean it myself. I’m trying to get over a cold, so I kind of needed to.

The front desk lady, who I think is the owner, was really kind and welcoming. Breakfast is simple, with bagels, corn flakes, fruit, juice, coffee, tea, and some packaged food. I stayed a couple of weeks ago, and the room was neat and clean. It also felt very affordable for the price. Nice experience, and I’d definitely recommend it for a short stay.

I left my phone number with the front desk at checkout and explained the problems, but nobody ever called back. The room smelled like urine, the TV was tiny and not a Smart TV, so there was no Netflix, and the fridge had stopped working by morning after I put food in it. DO NOT STAY AT THIS DUMP. There are plenty of better places in San Rafael.
