The best thing about the hotel was the location, very close to the convention center where we had business meetings. Breakfast also had a variety of options, though it’s hotel food, so take that with a grain of salt. The kitchen staff work hard, so leave them a tip. Check-in was a mess. We arrived late, around 8:30pm, and my husband waited in the lobby too long before calling the hotel to get someone to the front desk. A sleepy, long-haired clerk eventually came and got things moving. My husband took the key to find the room and make unloading the car easier, but the door had an occupied tag on it and was locked. Back to the desk we went. The clerk didn’t apologize, just gave us a new room and key. We settled in around 9:15pm. At first glance the room looked okay, but it wasn’t clean: a piece of green sequins here, a drywall screw there, and crumbs along the kitchenette cabinets. They’d also assigned us a handicap room. I hate to think of a disabled guest arriving to find their room occupied by two able-bodied people. Thankfully that didn’t happen while we were there.

The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the room was fairly spacious, with a couch, desk, fully stocked kitchen, and even an ice maker in the fridge. There were two issues: someone had clearly smoked in the room before us, leaving a bit of a smell, and the single-pane windows let in more freeway noise than necessary. You could hear conversations in the morning.

We liked it enough to add another night to our stay. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, and we spent a whole day enjoying the pool. The receptionists were all lovely, welcoming, and really friendly. Great stay, highly recommend!

I was very disappointed by how dirty this hotel was. The room smelled stuffy, the carpet was greasy and unclean, and there was mold and fungus throughout the room. It’s the dirtiest Hyatt I’ve stayed at. Definitely not somewhere I’d stay with my family, and not at all up to Hyatt standards.

The hotel was packed with young athletes and noisy kids running through the halls, dropping trash and clumps of turf from their soccer cleats. The pool was full of screaming children, too. That might suit families traveling for sports, but it wasn’t appealing for us, and we won’t return. The hotel itself felt dated and dirty. Carpets in the room and throughout the building were grimy, and several floors smelled like sewage. Breakfast was mostly greasy, unhealthy options.
