Wakefield Inn & Restaurant

We've been here to eat a few times. The table service is great, though we usually choose the bar because it has such a good vibe. The burgers are fantastic, and the drinks are excellent too, as is bartender Ali. We've enjoyed entrees like the Tuscan ravioli, and the stuffed mushroom cap appetizer is first rate.

The garden view gave the place a warm, inviting feel on Saturday night, and the personable, attentive staff made us feel welcome. We tried four entrees, all fresh, full of flavor, and prepared beautifully. The salads with homemade croutons were delicious, and the truffle chips appetizer is a must. We'd love to come back and try more of the menu.

The service was great, and I'd had good meals here before, but the Thanksgiving turkey dinner wasn't one I'd recommend. There was too little turkey, very little stuffing and cranberry sauce, and I would have preferred regular mashed potatoes. Skip Theiling

I was really impressed by the peaceful atmosphere, spotless room, beautiful property, and comfortable bed. After one night, Friday, October 24, 2025, I checked out the next morning feeling completely satisfied. I'd booked without realizing it was a bed and breakfast rather than a typical hotel, and my GPS first led me to an address about 0.7 miles away. I called the number on my reservation twice before a kind woman answered. I was a little frustrated because I didn't understand how the place worked yet, but she stayed polite, guided me step by step to the right location, remained on the phone until I arrived, and helped me check in smoothly. It became one of my best stays in a long time. I'd definitely stay again if I'm back in the area, and highly recommend it to anyone wanting a cozy, welcoming experience.
