Customer service is the biggest thing here. I again had trouble getting a code, but the gentleman on the phone was patient and really helpful. I canceled another place because its customer service reviews were terrible, so keep up the great job. I still haven't made it to the lobby, though it looks nice. I've stayed twice now and had the same room the second time, which was fine. For next year, I just booked a slightly bigger room. Room 11's bathroom could use a towel bar for at least a small towel above the toilet. The lights are odd, as someone else mentioned, so I bring light sticks and a bathroom night light. Trains don't bother us. I bring folding tables too because there aren't many surfaces to put things on. It's still a nice place. The first time was my first stay, and I definitely recommend it. The room was spacious, and yes, it could use more tables, so I read ahead and brought a few little folding ones. They text you a room number and code. I booked through booking and didn't get a code, but called and got one over the phone. Our room looked out at the lot next door, though the rooms toward the middle looked cute. It's near the train tracks, but they didn't keep us up. I forgot to take inside photos before we unpacked. I'd definitely stay again. The location is perfect for Cedar Point.

A few things could be better in the room. We needed a larger garbage can, one kid was cold because the top bunk had no blanket, and the floors were dirty enough that our bare feet showed it. The common area was cute, with ice, water, soda, and snack machines, plus a first aid kit, TV, books, and a restroom. I liked the hotel's community feel, with a fire pit out back, cornhole boards, volleyball net, picnic tables, small grills, and RV parking. The room was cute, clean, and trendy, and we had a great stay. The train tracks are close, but we live across from tracks at home, so that made us feel comfortable. It's also very close to Cedar Point.

We checked in at 7:30, and by then none of the outlets were working. It seemed like a breaker had tripped, but there was no front desk and I couldn't reach anyone, even after trying for four hours. The shower also leaked all over the bathroom, so we needed more towels. There's an ice bucket, but no way to get into the area with the ice machine and vending machines. I may go find another hotel tonight.

The owner got our door lock fixed within an hour after we had to wait for service. Aside from that, we really liked the feel of this old motel after its full update. The rooms were comfortable and had their own character, though there wasn't much storage for our belongings. I'd recommend it and stay again.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is great for Cedar Point. Our room was comfortable, but several renovation choices were frustrating. The bathroom counter was tiny and sloped forward, so things slid off, and the shower curtain rod was too high and bent outward, sending lots of water onto the floor. The bathroom door frame was warped, so the door wouldn't close without slamming it, which isn't great when kids want privacy. The lights were all controlled by two switches, including the ones above the bed, so turning anything on lit everything up. We unscrewed two bulbs to make it workable. The floor also left our socks a little dirty and needed mopping.
