We left a day early after a family Thanksgiving stay that was completely unacceptable. It took 30 minutes to get a working door code, and the owner or manager was hard to reach and slow to respond. The advertised fitness center wasn’t there, and my girlfriend got no reply when she asked management about it. The room was okay for an Airbnb-type place, but the walls were paper thin: hallway footsteps sounded like a parade, and we could hear a screaming child and his mother yelling next door as if they were six inches away. The floor by the fireplace was coming loose, and installing Netflix on the TV was impossible. These smaller problems kept adding up. I disputed the charge with Wells Fargo afterward, but they denied it because the hotel said it had provided the services. That standard seems pretty low. This was advertised as a quaint, quiet 1890 hotel with nice amenities, but it wasn’t what we got. I travel the world constantly with my girlfriend, so this wasn’t a minor complaint. I rarely post negative reviews because they can affect people and businesses, but in this case the Washington deserved one. I doubt anyone will contact me.

Parking instructions could have been clearer. Without them, we got accosted by the neighbor across the street, who seems to think public parking is her personal property and was irrational about it. Guests should be warned. Apart from that, it was a nice stay. The renovated house is charming and tastefully done, split into several units. You can hear the others somewhat, but it wasn’t too bad for us.

The location worked perfectly for my daughter’s volleyball tournament at the Cedar Point Sports Center: close to the venue but away from the hotel hubbub. At 333 E Washington, the spacious property was impeccably maintained, with comfortable modern amenities, attractive interiors, and easy access to attractions and essentials. Our stay was amazing. When a few unexpected issues came up, Nick responded quickly, listened carefully, and handled them thoroughly and efficiently. His friendly, compassionate manner and attention to detail made a stressful situation smooth and comfortable. If Nick’s manager sees this, give him a raise. He’s a keeper, and exceptional employees like him are hard to find. We’re grateful for his support and would recommend him for rental assistance.

We’d stayed at this property before and had a five-star experience, but this visit went differently. The code they sent didn’t work, and we couldn’t get the help we needed to get inside. After a day on the lake, we ended up driving two hours home. We own an Airbnb in Naples and are available around the clock when our guests need help. That wasn’t our experience here.

We stayed in Unit E. The bathroom had a lot of spiders, and we found another near the bed. Still, I’d be happy to return. The home is gorgeous, with spacious units and everything we needed. It’s close to Cedar Point and other amenities, and shopping is about 7 to 15 minutes away depending on where you go.
