Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Perimeter Center

We chose this place to be near the hospital, but the room was awful despite the nice lobby. The toilet wouldn’t flush. I asked the front desk to fix it while we were out, but it still wasn’t working when we returned. They sent someone who couldn’t repair it, so we couldn’t even use the bathroom. The TV was covered in scratches, the beds were very uncomfortable, and parking costs extra at the top of a very steep hill. Even the elevator was painfully slow. This hotel is a dump.

On top of the many room problems, getting our key was a hassle from the start. The card machine was broken when we arrived, so we had to make four trips back and forth with our luggage. During our five-day stay we needed two rooms with failed AC, and asked three times for clean towels and washcloths. On day three, housekeeping was marked complete, but the floor hadn’t been vacuumed, with a snack crumb left behind. The pool was being remodeled, despite my calling before booking to check it was usable. Our final room had a broken deadbolt, a dead phone, and a tub that wouldn’t drain while showering. Parking meant climbing a tall flight of stairs, very inconvenient in bad weather and for anyone with limited activity, even if they aren’t handicapped.

The room was okay for what we paid, and the front desk resolved the issues we had with it. Ms. April was amazing, and she’s why I’m giving five stars. Her help made an unexpectedly long stay comfortable.

My family and friends came from Tennessee to stay here for Momocon, about a 30-minute drive from the venue at Mercedes Benz stadium. The staff were kind and helpful, and our rooms were very clean. Traffic going to and from the hotel was easy to manage. I really love this place!
