Quality Inn Sanford - Kennebunk

Breakfast was good, though the room felt cramped with two beds and just one chair. I was really shocked by the $30 charge for each dog. Honestly, at that price I almost wished my two dogs weren't house-trained.

The staff were nice, but the place was dirty all over. There was hair in the shower and along the floor by the tub, mold in the shower, and grime around the toilet base. Dust covered the TV stand, bed frames, and other surfaces. The microwave was dirty too, and the hallway floors weren't clean. The room smelled of stale, musty cigarettes, like it may once have been a smoking room. I took photos, but couldn't find a way to post them. At 3 a.m. I woke up and found the desk lamp on. The walls are thin enough that we could hear everything, including a couple arguing as they walked by. Breakfast was very basic. When I called the manager about the room, she said they supposedly inspect after housekeeping. I asked about the mold and got no answer, just an offer of 25% off next time. There won't be a next time for us.

We appreciated being able to get into our room early when my family arrived before check-in. The staff were really friendly about it. Wells beach was only about twenty minutes away, which was nice too.

We stayed at the Quality Inn on June 23, and my girl found a cockroach in the bathroom. I even have a video of the nasty room. This morning there was a whole roach on the bed. We brought one in a cup to show the staff and asked for a refund, but they only offered 20%. The place isn't clean, and people should know. I'd give it negative five stars if I could. Don't go there.
