We usually pass through here a couple of times a year and thought we'd stay again, but not now, not ever. At checkout they kept my $75 deposit, claiming someone had smoked in the room. We hadn't. I asked them to check the security footage, which would show my employee, the only smoker among us, going to the picnic area, the designated smoking spot, or to the truck each time. They said they found tobacco, which is true: it was unsmoked, raw tobacco because he rolls his own. I said they couldn't charge us for smoking in the room over tobacco that hadn't been smoked. Then they said they'd keep the money anyway because the room needed a deep cleaning and we'd left it really dirty. We'd bagged the trash. We hadn't made the beds, because why would we? They said the sheets were really dirty. Don't they wash them anyway? Were they only going to wash them if they looked dirty? The floor left my socks black, so the place wasn't exactly clean to start with. The rest of the room was mostly clean. It felt like they were looking for an excuse to keep the extra $75.

There are budget prices, and the place is close to Sanford airport. The rooms, bathrooms, and linens were clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There's a pool on site, plus a lake and picnic area behind the property. It could use some paint.

The water view behind the hotel was fabulous, and the room was clean. The front desk staff were very friendly when I checked in and out. It's near the airport, and IHOP is right beside it, which made breakfast easy.

The woman at check-in was nice. I was there just one night. The room was alright, though the floors, including around the toilet, could've been cleaned a little better. Otherwise it was good, peaceful, and relaxing. There are no rooms for smokers.

It's a no-frills place, which is why my rate was so low. The pool is nice, the location is great, and the staff are very friendly. Basic, but clean, and you get what you pay for. Rooms 234 and higher have a scenic lake view.
