Best Western Plus Orange County Airport North

The room was ready when I arrived, clean, and everything in it worked well. The hotel felt safe, though I wouldn’t recommend walking around at night. It’s just off the 55, and there are quite a few transients nearby. The gym was pretty much useless. The machines either didn’t work or didn’t feel safe to use. You also have to leave your room key in exchange for a separate gym key. 🤷🏻‍♂️ For one night, it’s not a bad deal, as long as you don’t expect to use the gym.

The staff made the place feel welcoming, and I appreciated the daily room service. There were also water refill stations, which was a nice bonus. Parking was easy, and the hotel is next to the airport. The room had a microwave and fridge, but the TV, outlets, and iron all seemed a bit dated. The bed still felt itchy even though the room was serviced daily. Breakfast came with vouchers each day. The eggs and hash browns I had were okay, but the baked goods were stale, and even the cereal seemed stale. The place looks dated overall and could use a remodel.

The clean room and bathroom, especially the vanity, made for a comfortable stay. The staff were nice and always greeted us. Breakfast was included, which saved time, and a noon checkout worked perfectly. The hotel was in a good part of the city and close to my meeting, so traffic getting there wasn’t an issue.

The pool was deep and a nice place to relax while watching the airplanes. At night, though, they were a little loud and kept landing until 11:00. The cafeteria-style breakfast was unusual: there were two choices, plus cereal and pastries. The hotel was clean and a few miles from Disneyland. All in all, I had a good experience.
