Motel 6 Irvine - Orange County Airport

The room was bad enough, but the problems started before we even got there. I called ahead because we’d arrive before the 3pm check-in and needed to leave four backpacks at the front desk. They said that would be fine, so we spent $75 on an Uber. Once we arrived, they said they could only hold one bag, though they eventually took two. There was no apology or explanation. My toddler urgently needed a restroom, but there wasn’t one in the lobby. The employee watched us scramble before casually telling us so. The lobby and hallways smelled strongly and consistently of urine. We couldn’t check in early, had to get another Uber, and ended up dragging our bags through security at the next stop because of the misinformation. The room had visibly dirty bathroom walls with grime and splatter buildup, possibly feces, and multiple cockroaches. The pool water looked murky and stale, and the hot tub was cold. The online reviews are wildly misleading. This isn’t about luxury. I expected basic sanitation, working amenities, and honest information. I’m not sure what’s maintained here. Everyone else should book somewhere else.

The beds were awful, like they’d been taken from the trash. The place was disgusting and dirty, and above all, it smelled terrible. I can’t even describe how bad the odor was. I’d tell people to skip this experience.

I’ve been staying here for an extended work assignment, and Michaelle has been kind and helpful the whole time. She’s made sure my family and I feel safe and comfortable, and she’s respectful and really good at her job. The place itself is clean and wonderful. I’ll stay here again. 💜💜

Nalini at the front desk made my stay at Motel 6 stand out. She welcomed me warmly, handled check-in quickly, patiently answered my questions, and was incredibly helpful and professional. The room was clean and comfortable too. I’d happily stay again, and Motel 6 is lucky to have her.
