Quality Inn West Haven CT

The cigarette smell was overwhelming, and we didn’t sleep all night. The windows wouldn’t lock, the sheets were so thin they might as well have been a bare mattress, and the bed was uncomfortable. The rooms were awful for the amount they charge, and whoever runs this place is deceiving people. The front desk guy sits behind glass, which tells you what you’re in for. If anyone gave this place more than one star, it was probably the manager. We stayed a few months ago, and this was by far the worst hotel ever. Avoid it, it’s not worth the money.

The bed was comfortable, and the TV and fridge were fine. The room was large, but old and never renovated, with shades and blinds in bad shape. The stairs creaked, and the whole place looked and felt like the 70s. It was enough to get some rest for one night, but not much else. My stay was fine, though I wouldn’t recommend it or stay again.

The room had already been redone, and it was clean and comfortable. Since the place is still being renovated, I understood why there weren't cups or a coffee maker. The front desk answered my questions and brought me some cups when I asked. I’d come back once the work is finished. It should be a nice place.

No towels when I went to take a shower, and there wasn't even a cup in the room. I eventually got a chair, but the phone to call the desk was disconnected. They first said I could only have a second-floor room because of the remodel, with no elevator. Then they demanded a $50 cash deposit and told me to go to an ATM when I didn't have the cash. They need to have rooms ready or not. What a joke.
