For the price and beachside location, this is the best bargain motel in Santa Barbara. I feel lucky there’s still an affordable place in this area. The outdoor sitting spaces have gorgeous plants and a view of the beach, which makes it feel a step above a typical motel. The room itself was typical motel style, with old furniture, but the bed was decent. The carpeted floor isn’t my favorite for cleanliness, though I get that it helps with noise. The big disappointment was having no microwave. We’d just bought frozen Trader Joe’s snacks and ended up letting them thaw a bit before eating them. Four stars for me because of that, otherwise I’d have given five for the price.

The office staff were very nice and helpful. I had a really pleasant stay, especially being right across from the beach. It was lovely to step out, see the ocean, and walk along it. The room worked well for me. There were a couple of maintenance issues I hope they’ve fixed, but they wouldn’t stop me coming back, and I probably will.

The desk staff were cool and professional, and the beach location and view were beautiful. We could walk to the beach, and our room looked right out at it. The room and bathroom both felt dated, which is common for beach hotels, but the carpet was filthy and the bed was awful. It was so soft we sank together like we were in a hammock, lol. If you didn’t arrive with back problems, you might leave with them. The toilet hissed from check-in to check-out, like there could be a plumbing leak. The shower creaked and shifted underfoot, and felt like an RV shower, if I’m being generous. Parking was rough too. There were so many work vans that parking our car without worrying about damage was difficult.

The room cost about $180 total on a holiday, and parking was free. We had two queen beds, a huge TV, a desk, and two chairs. The room was dated, but it worked fine, overlooked the pool and beach, and had a cute refrigerator and clean bathroom. The young man who checked us in was friendly and efficient.

The room had a small refrigerator, but no coffee maker. It was dated, though clean, and the beds were comfortable. Great location, and I’d definitely stay again.
