The toilet wouldn't flush, and we reported it to the front desk when we checked out. When I called twice afterward to ask about a partial refund, I was told someone would call me back, but nobody did. On my third call today, they denied the request, saying the toilet was “never actually broken,” which just isn't true. Our stay at Hideaway Hotel was unpleasant overall. The room felt cramped, and there was nobody at the front desk when we arrived, so we had to wait to check in. Between that, the broken toilet, the lack of support, and the way the refund was handled, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The freshly cooked breakfast was my favorite part. Hideaway has a cozy, cute feel and is really close to the beach, shops, and restaurants. My room was quiet and had just enough space for me.

We had a great family stay at the Hideaway. The staff were quick to respond, breakfast in the morning was delicious, and the location was ideal for seeing Santa Barbara. We’ll probably stay again.

The Lookout Suite was lovely, clean, roomy, and cozy, especially with the fire. They were welcoming and accommodating, and breakfast was delicious. The warm afternoon cookies were a sweet touch. We had a great time and would recommend it.

The room was clean and nicely decorated, and the place is cute, but I left underwhelmed by the breakfast. It was a small fruit plate and pastries that looked dry. Someone apparently cooked eggs, but hadn't arrived by 8:45, so we left and ate elsewhere. The photos online make the place seem bigger and better than it really is. For the price, over $300, it wasn't what I expected. We couldn't open the windows because they had no screens and there were lots of little bugs outside. We could also hear the people upstairs walking around. The stay was perfectly nice, but I'm glad it was only one night.
