Element by Marriott Santa Clara

Just be aware, planes fly overhead from 6:30 in the morning until 10pm. If you can sleep with that, the hotel is awesome. There’s free parking on the street and a decent breakfast with eggs made to order, though no bacon. It isn’t a Stella hotel, but it’s better than the area’s average. The AC is reasonably quiet at night, but you can still hear it and can’t turn it off. The kitchenette in the room is reasonably equipped.

The location was great, the staff were awesome, and parking was included. There was always a spot near the door. During my visit, the outdoor pool was no use to me. The couches were uncomfortable, to say the least. The guest laundry was ancient, and I had to get staff to use their mast key and charge my room to get the laundry done.

I’ve stayed at this Element property several times for work because it’s conveniently close to my offices. The rooms have always been very clean, and housekeeping has never let me down. Staff are consistently welcoming and courteous. I’ve tried some bar food, which was okay, and there are plenty of other places to eat within walking distance, from fast food to healthy options.

The warm, welcoming feel, clean rooms, and friendly staff really make this place feel like your element. I recommend it if you’re staying in Santa Clara for work or to catch a 9ers game. There’s also a Starbucks right next door in case someone accidentally breaks the lobby espresso machine!
