At check-in, a woman on staff told me that, because the hotel was being renovated, I’d get two free bottles of water each day. I received them on the second day. When I asked for water today, a male staff member said it would cost $3 per bottle because I’m not a member. I explained what I’d been told, but he still refused, lol. The renovation also means it’s often noisy, and the room’s night light is so bright that it can’t be turned off. I’m confused about how the service here is managed.

The location is a big plus for business trips. It’s right by Levi Stadium, where the 49ers play, and Great America amusement park, and it’s easy to reach many of Santa Clara’s tech companies. Nearby dining is good and easy to get to by rideshare. I stayed for business at the end of September 2025, while renovations were underway. I suspect the work was part of getting the hotel ready for the 2026 Super Bowl, and it seemed like a lot of updates were happening for the better. My newly renovated room was just right, with updated furniture, decor, and bathroom. The Hilton property is well cared for, though the price can be a bit high, probably because of the location. I liked it and would stay again when I’m in the area.

The staff are nice, and the location is good, but that’s about all I’d recommend. The rooms feel like college dorms, and the beds are tough, even though I can usually sleep anywhere. The bathroom mirror light stays on and can’t be switched off, which is no good. You also have to book at least two nights, since the hotel shows no availability for single-night stays. I’d choose the nearby Hyatt between the two.

Dorothy and Ana found a way to arrange an early check-in for my important guests from Asia, so they could rest. I’d assumed getting in that early wouldn’t be possible, and I’m very grateful they worked out a solution. We’ll stay here again when we have guests visiting.

The rooms are nice, and the location is excellent for a Niner game. If you’re driving, book a stay on the day of the game so you can park your car there. You can’t stay the night before and leave the car for the game the next day.
