Continental Inn

The dog fee seemed high at $30/night. The TV didn’t work, and the place felt a little run down between two loud intersections. It was clean enough and the bed was comfortable enough. Fine for one night.

The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were cleaned exceptionally well every day. My room was well laid out and equipped, even with a bathtub. Having hardwood or laminate instead of carpet made it feel classier. Though it’s a basic inn in amenities and layout, I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and nicely furnished the rooms were. It was a perfect fit for my four-night stay in Santa Cruz. The location is central, and downtown is an easy walk. It was excellent value given local prices, especially on weeknights.

I’ve been at the continental inn for a week and a half and have had good service the whole time. Check-in was smooth, and I got my room right away. The location near the beach is great, with lots to do nearby, and the nightly prices are so good. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the area on vacation. :)

The room was comfortable and clean. The pool is a little odd since it’s across the street, and it could use a good scrub. The grounds need some attention too. The fountain should be cleaned out and the baskets could use flowers. Curb appeal matters.
