Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Santa Cruz, CA

The staff were friendly, and the curtains blocked the light really well. The place was quiet too, though we did hear some people running in the evening. Bathrooms were large with good water pressure, and everything was clean without odd smells, except for a brief smell when we turned on the room heater. Some of the furnishings and electronics are older, and the beds are quite firm. Breakfast was a solid, varied continental spread with something for everyone, but for my one-night stay they had powdered eggs and sausage rather than bacon, and no shredded cheese. The workout room is small and mostly focused on cardio, with a few dumbbells. Decent for the price, and I'd stay again.

Our room was comfortable and well cared for. The receptionist was wonderful, friendly, funny, and so welcoming. His warm gesture made us feel at home and added a lovely touch to the visit.

We spent a week here and enjoyed it. The suite rooms are extremely large, well maintained, and well priced. The managers were personable and very helpful. Convenient location, with Natural Bridges State Park, West Cliffs, and lots of coffee shops and restaurants within a mile.

Nothing to complain about, honestly. The rooms were clean, John was great when we checked in, and the location was fine. We could walk to some cool places for food, drinks, and coffee.
