The location made things really easy, with Costco, Tesla Supercharging, and other shops just a couple of minutes away. Check-in and checkout were seamless, and there’s an ice machine on site. We had a mini fridge with a small freezer section and a microwave, though no safe. The room was clean and comfortable for the price, which mattered most to us, and we stayed two nights. Housekeeping refreshed the towels, took out the trash, and remade the bed. It seems better suited to couples than families, and pets aren’t allowed. The shower pressure was very low, and the dispenser still had no shower gel after housekeeping came. The bed wasn’t especially comfortable, and there’s no king-size option. Even so, we’d stay again.
The cleaning staff were the one bright spot. They were kind and seemed underpaid. I wouldn’t come back. A lot of the amenities listed on the ticket weren’t there, including a pool, which has been filled with cement and is now a smoking area. The hotel is also across from a weed shop, which wasn’t listed. The room didn’t seem properly cleaned before I arrived, so I had to clean it myself. The bathroom locks didn’t work, water leaked into the room, and the soap holder in the shower was badly rusted. The windows wouldn’t open properly, the bed frame was propped up with sticks, and the room doors only worked some of the time. The walls were so thin I could hear everything. After a medical emergency, I had to check out late and was charged for it. I also overheard that incident deposits were only collected from people who looked a certain way.
The room was clean and nice, with a fridge and microwave, and the King room was a very reasonable $83. But I barely slept. There were at least 50 rooms and only five or six seemed occupied, yet they put everyone near each other on the first and second floors. Doors kept slamming, and people were yelling and making noise all night. Ugh.
The room had visible stains on the blankets and a strong, unpleasant smell when we arrived. From check-in onward, the staff came across as rude and unprofessional. The next morning, while we were getting ready, someone knocked and accused us of smoking in the room. We absolutely hadn’t, and there was no damage or valid reason to keep our deposit, but they refused to return it. It felt like they were searching for a reason to hold onto guests’ money. The poor room condition, accusation, and hostile service made this one of our most uncomfortable hotel stays. Management needs to address how guests are treated. I rarely leave a negative review, but people should know what to expect. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, even my worst enemy.
What a bummer. Check your bank statement when you check in. I booked one room on the hotel website, but it glitched and said the request couldn’t be processed. I reloaded the page and booked again. At the front desk I showed my ID and credit card, got a key, and thought I was checked in. At 10 PM, an unknown number called asking when I’d arrive. I said I was already there. They asked for my room number, but I wasn’t comfortable giving it over the phone and offered to come down if there was a problem. The employee said that wasn’t necessary and hung up. A few days after I got home, I saw two charges. When I called to explain, the manager said there’d be no refund because I’d booked two rooms. The website caused the double booking, and the employee hadn’t mentioned it when I checked in. Based on other reviews, this seems to happen to others too, and it feels like the hotel is trying to take people’s money. I’ll report it to the Better Business Bureau and dispute the duplicate charge with my card company. Take my advice and stay somewhere more reputable in town if you want to avoid the headache.
