Days Inn by Wyndham Santa Monica

I wanted to enjoy the stay because the location is pretty good, and check-in went well. But the room was disgusting: one bed had no sheets, and it was covered in stains. When I opened the balcony door, there were dead cockroaches everywhere. I tried to look past it, but waiting more than five days for my deposit was the biggest disappointment. I called the motel and was treated rudely. They said the manager would come in tomorrow, then hung up on me. It seems anything involving Wyndham turns out badly. Whatever they call themselves, this hospitality company has terrible customer service.

The rooms were decent, with ensuite bathrooms stocked with shampoo and gel. There’s a decent lobby and parking right outside, which made moving our bags easy. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. We weren’t happy with the room at first, and they offered to move us right away on the first night. When we left early, they also waived the early departure fee, which helped a lot. I’d recommend this place if you’re staying in the Santa Monica area.

Getting around was easy with a bus stop close by. The room also had a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, which came in handy, and they provided ice and drinking water. The staff were friendly.

Our deluxe room on the fourth floor had a balcony, and the whole place felt calm and cozy. Clean, comfortable, classy, and convenient. I'd happily stay here again.
