Ocean View Hotel

The private balcony had a stunning view of Santa Monica Pier and the ocean, and the location was perfect for the beach and pier. It’s also about 40 minuets from the heart of the city. Valet parking was quick, secure, convenient, and hassle-free in a busy area. My stay at Ocean View Hotel was fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help with a smile. Highly recommend, five stars!

The room was just what we wanted, and the upgrade made our stay even nicer. What really stood out, though, was how Heidi at check-in helped when I realized I’d left my phone in the Uber from Sunset Boulevard. She spent a long time trying to reach the driver. Nearly two hours later, he came back through the hotel’s front door with my phone. I was so relieved, and we could get on with our day. Huge thanks to Heidi for going out of her way. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

I liked the room, but checking out was a nasty surprise. The itemized bill included valet parking at $53 a night, parking tax, and three destination fees. I’d told several staff members I hadn’t chosen valet, and I also hadn’t realized using the WiFi meant a $30 daily fee. It’s a nice place, but expect a lot of charges at checkout.

The way the staff helped make the wedding day easier was amazing. They turned room 113 into a glam room for the bride and her party in just minutes, which we hadn’t expected at all. The hair and makeup artist had everything needed to get the bride and bridesmaids ready. They brought a lovely snack platter with flowers and balloons, then upgraded the couple to an ocean view room as a gift, with another beautiful basket, flowers, and balloon. My son and daughter-in-law stayed at Ocean View the day before and after their wedding, and everyone made the occasion feel special and stress-free. Big thanks to Theresa, Eva, Mario, Ashley, and housekeeping, especially the two gentlemen who moved an entire bed out and brought in a big table. We were blown away. It’s a wonderful hotel in a great location, and we’re so grateful.
