Oceana Santa Monica, LXR Hotels & Resorts

Palisades Park is right across the street, and the location made it easy to get around while still feeling quiet, private, and tucked away. We loved the dreamy pool and the restaurant too. A few people made the service especially memorable: Cody and Michael on the pool deck, Julian at Petit Monique, and Joshua and Eric at the front desk. We had a truly wonderful stay at Oceana Santa Monica.

The room had a great ocean view, a large bathroom, and an extra comfortable bed. Breakfast was another highlight, especially the food and our server. The valet was super helpful and set us up with bikes for exploring the beach trail. We spent three nights at the Oceana last weekend and enjoyed every minute. The property was impeccable and stylish, and both the front desk team and valet workers were incredibly welcoming and attentive.

The front desk and valet staff were polite and welcoming, and both standard rooms were upgraded to suites with ocean views on the first floor. The shower pressure was excellent. EV charging was available through valet on request at no extra cost, though valet itself was $70 per car. There’s no wheelchair access to the lobby; you have to take the elevator route around the back. Valet staff may be able to carry a stroller up or down if they’re available. We used free night rewards for two rooms on 24-25DEC2025, one for a family of four with two kids and one for a couple. Only one room got a $50 breakfast credit. Breakfast is pricey, with coffee at $6-8 and hot plates averaging around $30-40. The breakfast area is small and could feel crowded with five or six families of four. Rain kept us from using the pool or bicycles. It was okay, but I probably wouldn’t spend money or Hilton points to come back.

For my partner’s birthday staycation last month, we booked an ocean view suite at the Oceana Hotel in Santa Monica. The view was breathtaking, and the pool was as charming as it looks in the photos, perfect for lounging. The food was some of the freshest we’ve had at a hotel, whether we ordered room service or ate poolside. We did briefly get stuck in the elevator, but the team took such good care of us that it became something we laugh about now. Kezai Jones, the Director of Front of House, made sure everything went smoothly and felt celebratory. Erick at the front desk and the pool and room service staff were warm, attentive, and professional. Housekeeping and cleanliness were A+ too. We’re grateful to everyone at Oceana for making the birthday so memorable. We’d happily return and recommend it to anyone wanting comfort, luxury, and thoughtful service in Santa Monica.
