Westview Bed and Breakfast

I live nearby, and people are allowed to play music really loudly late into the night. The place is completely run down, and the Google number doesn’t even reach the right people anymore.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the quiet location felt relaxing. I stayed in the Jacuzzi tub room, Prairie Nook, which had a tub but no shower. I appreciated having alternative water options because the hard tap water was so unpleasant to drink. The afternoon cookies were really good too. I skipped breakfast, so I wish there’d been a toaster in the public dining area. Still, the room had dishes, a fridge, and a microwave, and I’d definitely stay again.

We enjoyed the quiet and solitude, and the highway was right nearby. We never heard it, thanks to the thick walls. Jim was a gracious host and made us feel at home during our early Valentine’s Day weekend. The fireplace and Jacuzzi in our room were lovely, and we made good use of both and the common areas. We had the place to ourselves, so we could wander around. The property has beautiful art, and Jim shared personal stories about the artists and pieces. We also enjoyed reading its history and seeing what Jim and Colleen had done over the years. Breakfast was included and bountiful, delicious, even with dessert. The amenities were plentiful and luxurious. We’d recommend it for a romantic country getaway close to the city.

We stayed in the Prairie View Nook, facing west, and got to enjoy some wonderful sunsets. The room was quaint, super clean, and quiet, and the huge garden tub spa was awesome. The woman who made breakfast was a joy to be around. Such a beautiful place with friendly people running it. 10 out of 10.
