Breakfast was good, with the usual hot dishes and grab-and-go items, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The shower was probably one of the best I’ve had in a hotel. My bed felt a bit too firm and the pillows were very squishy, but I still slept well. The laundry area was clean and neat, though a little pricey at $3.50 to wash and $3 to dry. A really nice stay for us.

Our room wasn’t cleaned after the first day, and housekeeping didn’t leave fresh towels or replenish the coffee and tea. When I asked, the front desk said the hotel’s policy was to do that every other day. I also had to request water bottles each time, though I think Hilton Honors members should have them in the room. On top of that, the toilet flush was weak and often took two or three tries. I expect more from a hotel that considers itself 5 STAR.

We booked this place because it was less than 30 minutes from Armstrong State Park. Check-in was quick, and we got a room with two double beds. There was plenty of parking, including reserved Diamond parking up front, and lots of places to eat nearby. The area felt safe and secure. Everyone we spoke with was kind and respectful. Breakfast had a good range of options, snacks, and fruit. The kids loved the waffle maker, and the coffee was nice and hot. We enjoyed our stay.

The EV chargers were a great feature, with both NACS and J1772 connections and adapters available when needed. My room was roomy and comfortable, and the shower pressure was better than I’ve found at many other hotels. The bed had plenty of inviting pillows. Check-in was the smoothest I’ve experienced, and the front desk and bar staff welcomed me warmly, almost like a family reunion. The lobby smelled pleasant, too.
