Holiday Inn Express Santa Rosa North by IHG

The one drawback was that there wasn’t anywhere to leave a tip for the wonderful food staff. The breakfast itself was delicious and plentiful, and my room was clean and in great shape, without wear and tear. The staff were polite, professional, thoughtful, kind, and very helpful.

The location worked really well for me, close to shopping and the freeway but set far enough to the side that I could unwind without hearing all the traffic. The common areas were clean and inviting, and I liked the tables by the pool. Breakfast had a decent selection of hot dishes. There’s also a breakfast place called Sam’s across the road if you’d rather go out. Small details made things easier, like the go baggies at the breakfast station and plates and forks near the check-in fridge. The staff welcomed me warmly, and Rosalinda & Letty were especially helpful. Check-in was quick. My well-kept room was quiet and relaxing, even though it was next to the elevator, and the bed was very comfortable. I did find a red stain on the pillowcase. The breakfast meats had run out by 8:40, and they weren’t replenished after I let staff know. Apart from those issues, the stay met most of my expectations, and I’d recommend it for comfort and hospitality.

Breakfast was fresh, tasty, and had several choices. The room was spotless, and I loved the shower. The staff were especially lovely and attentive. I’d absolutely stay here again.

The hotel was clean overall, but it wasn’t worth the price for us, and we wouldn’t return. Compared with other places of the same brand, the rooms felt cramped. There was just enough room to get around the bed, with nowhere comfortable to put our luggage. Housekeeping was busy in the hallway and knocked even though we’d requested a late checkout. That’s a real pet peeve, since it doesn’t take much to pass that request along. The guest restroom only had a shower. And for a hotel that trades on its brand’s reputation, supplying just two large towels in the bathroom is ridiculous. Cheaper hotels provide two per guest.
