The room was clean, tasteful, and practical, with interesting artwork that gave it a distinctive boutique feel. The bathroom and shower were spotless, and it was clear housekeeping took pride in the work. In the lobby, I liked the artwork and comfortable seating, with a view out to the patio and its chairs and umbrellas. It also made a good place to work on a laptop. Self-serve coffee was a welcome perk after my flight and in the mornings before the convention. I was at the Santa Rose Fairgrounds for a big convention and this was my first stay at the Stonehouse. Staff and maintenance were friendly and seemed to care about guests. The owner asked about my stay and the building's art as I was leaving, then gave me two Stonehouse glasses as a thank-you. I'll stay here again when I'm in Santa Rosa.

It's a cool old building, and the rooms are big with comfy beds. The lobby is nicely done, and there's a simple coffee bar, plus coffee and tea in the rooms. The setting is kind of funny, and there's no staff on site.

We went to Sonoma Stonehouse for a women's retreat, and the place felt peaceful and private while still being close to Sonoma wineries. The group layout worked really well, whether for a retreat, girls' weekend, or small event. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with a jetted tub, so everyone had space and that felt pretty luxurious. The property itself is beautiful, and the stay was comfortable with upscale amenities. We've stayed at a lot of Sonoma retreat properties, and this is one of the best. We'd happily return and recommend it for a group stay near Sonoma wine country.

The place felt cozy and had a lot of character. We had a really nice stay at Sonoma stone house, and there are plenty of cute places to eat nearby. We'd definitely come back.

For six nights, I had room 9, where both traffic noise and light made it hard to rest. The building sits right on the road, so cars were speeding past under the balcony from 4:30 in the morning, and the windows did little to keep the sound out. The curtains also left part of the window uncovered. The room was hot, but switching on the air conditioning made it freezing, with no comfortable setting in between. The building itself might have potential, but the location is poor for noise. There's no kitchen or other service, just a room with a microwave. Mine didn't even have a table, so eating comfortably was difficult. I left disappointed.
